Saint Peter's Lutheran Church is an Evangelical community of Christian believers. "Evangelical" is a German word that means "Good News."

The "Good News" is that because God loves the world and sent Jesus to show us the Way, we are pulled out of a life of self-centered misery in order to live for the people God came to love. As such, we are a part of God's Kingdom today.

We believe that God is expressed in the mystery of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah or "Christ," that he is what it would look like if God were walking on the Earth as one of us.

Because Jesus is in Heaven with God, we believe Jesus' promise that the Holy Spirit is present now and walking along side of us, guiding us, loving us, consoling, disciplining, and directing us.

We believe that God, through the Biblical Word and the sacraments of Baptism and Hoy Communion, offers us unmerited forgiveness of our sins, now and throughout eternity.
